| Entry Requirements |
Leaving Certificate with 5 passe, preferably to include English & Biology. Mature students will be considered based on a proven interest in the caring profession. Entry may be subject to interview/assessment & depends on satisfactory completion of an induction programme & Garda Vetting.

| Work Experience within a variety of caring situations forms an integral part of the course. |

| Career Options/Progression |
|
|
Holders of a FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Certificate in Nursing Studies may progress to nurse training or onto further study at Institutes of Technology/Universities. Alternatively you may directly enter employment within the caring profession as a nurse's aide, care assistant or special care assistant. MIFET has established links with the Nursing Schools at Thames Valley Unviersity and the University of Wolverhampton re transfer of students who meet the entry requirements to nurse training places. |
