Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate with 5 passe or Leaving Cert Applied. Mature students will be considered based on a proven interest in the caring profession. Entry may be subject to interview/assessment & depends on satisfactory completion of an induction programme & Garda Vetting.

Caring for Children 0-6 Work Experience Communications

FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Award (DCHCC) - Further Education & Training Awards Council    
First Aid Certificate - Irish Red Cross/ Order of Malta    
     
Duration    
One Year - Full Time Study    
     
Course Structure    
Work Experience within arange of social care settings forms an integral part of the course.    
Career Options/Progression    
Holders of a FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Certificate in Community Care may enter employment in social care settings. You may also progress to further study at Institutes of Technology through the Higher Education Links Scheme
   
     
Evaluation    
You wil be evaluated by examination,practical skills tests, project work and practical First Aid exam
