Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate with 5 passes or Leaving Certificate Applied. Mature students will be considered based on a proven interest in the leisure industry/sport. Entry may be subject to interview/assessment and depends on satisfactory Garda Vetting. Physical fitness and ability to swim is preferable..

Duration    
One Year - Full Time Study    
     
Course Structure    
This course contains a large practical outdoor element with substantial individual costs involved for specialised training. Work Experience forms an integral part of the course.    
Career Options/Progression    
Holders of a FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Award in Outdoor Recreation may progress to further studies on selected courses at Institutes of Technology/Universities. Alternatively you may gain direct access to employment in the field of outdoor recreation.
   
     
Evaluation    
Your course wil be evaluated by practical and written examination, project work and assignments.
