| Course Structure |
|
|
| This course contains animal health, science & welfare related subjects. Practical sessions in animal care will form an integral part of the course. A mimimum of 10 days Work Placement must be completed. You will be required to purchase protective clothing and a grooming kit. |

| Career Options/Progression |

|
Holders of a FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Award in Applied Science- Animal care may progress to further studies at Institutes of Technology/Universitie in a range of Science related area or directly enter employment as veterinary assistants in animal clinics & hospitals or in animal shelters, animal parks/zoos etc |
