This course offers learners the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge for a modern and rapidly expanding industry. You will gain a solid foundation in computer games design and programming, understanding the process of software development and enhancing problem solving and analytical skills.
Leaving Certificate with 5 passes (preferably to include Mathematics) or Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent. If you are a mature student these requirements need not apply and applications may be considered based on a proven interest in gaming design/programming. Entry may be subject to interview.

Learners are provided with the opportunity to critique a variety of games, explore game design processes and improve awareness of the design considerations involved with different gaming genres. Gain hands-on experience of the latest technologies in gaming to create and program computer games. Work Experience also forms an integral part of this course.
